VplNet Host Help File

  To submit a turn simply send your .trn file as an attachment to vplhost@tiscali.it MIME/Base64 encoding is preferred for attachments, and multiple turns can be sent in one e-mail.  No special subject is required when sending in your TRNs.  If you expirience any difficulties just e-mail to oldslyguy@icqmail.com ,and I will assist you in any way that I can.  Enjoy the system and games.  The host I should point out checks for e-mail commands and turns every day (at 4am GMT+1 and in the host day at 17pm GMT+1 )

 (not case sensitive, without quotes).

Sign Up

Sign up for VplNet Host games.

  2) In the _subject_, put "Sign Up"
 (not case sensitive, without quotes).

  Type II commands require your password to be used.  If you do not remember your password, it can be sent to you via the "Get Player Settings" Type I command above.  All type II commands must also be sent from your _primary_ e-mail address.

Change Player Settings

To change your settings on VplNet Host

   1) Follow the instructions in the e-mail sent in response
     to the "Get Player Settings" Type I command above.

Get RST(s)

Get your latest RST(s)

  1) Compose an e-mail message to vplhost@tiscali.it
  2) In the _subject_, put your password
  3) In the _body_ of the message at the beginning of a line put "$SendRST: XX" (not
      case sensitive, without quotes).  If XX is 0 or any non number, all your RST's are sent.
     If XX is a number greater than 0, it must match a game number that you are in.

Get Games List

Get a list of the public games running on VplNet Host

     put "!GameList" (not case sensitive, without quotes).

Join Game

        $game : xx where xx is the game number you wish to join.
  4) On the next line place

        $JoinRace : x where x is an open race from 1 - 9 or A or B

Add Ally / Drop Ally

        $game : xx where xx is the game number you wish to alter.
  4) On the next line place

        $AddAlly : x

or               where x is the race number you wish to add/drop as an ally (1-9 or A or B)

        $RemoveAlly : x

Drop Game

        $game : xx where xx is the number of the game you are dropping from.
  4) On the next line place

        $DropRace : x where x is the race you want to drop 1 - 9 or A or B

** Please bear in mind that dropping games is not an encouraged practice and it could result in your removal from the system.**
